Once there was a baby who told me a joke..
..and I took it seriously..

..and I can’t forget about it.
I can’t even sleep at night..
until it made me mad….
so I ignored and avoided her.

and she was wondering why the cold treatment..
so I told her my feelings..
she was so shock and clueless that she hurt me..
I didn't accept her sorry...
and she just cried .

we didn't talk since then… days, weeks passed by …long SILENCE…
it created a gap between us.

but deep inside we missed..
..each other.
We keep checking each other..
..discreetly.
I'm too scared to say sorry..what if, she'll not accept it? what if? what if?
or am I too proud to make the first move and say "I'm sorry"?
until that poignant day..she called my name and cryingly said “I’m sorry”...
I just cried and said "I’m sorry too..
and we just cried…
 and cried like crazy.
”Sorry…”
 “sorry too..”
Mending broken hearts.
and now we’re friends again...

playing again.
It’s all because of her..she has a forgiving heart.

And by making the first move to say sorry

Thank you..

"Am I too proud to make the first move and say "I'm sorry"?"
I know That kind of "pride" is destructive.

But thanks to her and now we’re friends again. Happy Like Crazy.
And I promise her that I would never be so sensitive again she can throw any jokes at me.
I’m sorry for being so immature.
I hurt her like mad.
And I almost ruined our friendship.

But she save it and I admire her for that..
a forgiving attitude is who you are normally, usually, regularly…

---
Just like what I've read:
If you want to be happy in your life, you need to have a forgiving attitude.

Why?

Because you live amidst imperfect people.

You were born into an imperfect family, with imperfect parents, with imperfect siblings.

Announcement: You’re imperfect too! (Unless you happen to be a perfect alien from a perfect planet.)

Everyday, you’ll get hurt. Someone will step on your toe. Someone will stab your back. Someone will kick your behind. Someone will prick your pride. Someone will slander your name.

That’s why Jesus said, Forgive seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:21-22) That number is a Biblical symbol for “forever”.

Believe me, if you don’t have a forgiving attitude, you can’t enjoy any imperfect relationship.

Have a forgiving attitude.

And bless all those who have offended you.

And believe that you’ll receive double what you have lost.

The new Hollywood trend today seems to be making classic fairy tale into a sexy, action-packed film.
The scary thing about this is it's only a matter of time before movie makers run 100% empty on ideas.
They're going to remake every original film, novel, comic book, video game, and every fairy tale ever made.
Then soon enough they'll hit a wall.

Till then it'll be interesting to see which children's story they choose to adapt next.
I can't wait to see "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" or a dark edgy take on "Humpty Dumpty" and how “Cinderella” will fight and run on her curfew (Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan starring in Cinderella in 2014) and what lie will create havoc on Pinocchio's adaptation (Guillermo Del Torro is putting his trademark dark spin on the tale of Pinocchio).
'Cinderella' casts its Prince Charming (click to read)
And now that Harry’s put his wand down and Narnia shut its wardrobe, is there still hope on this glittering glory remakes to keep the magic alive?

Just heard of this rumor about YEH unni being the lead actress in the said korean version of "Be Careful with My Heart?"

Well, don't get too excited, it's still a rumor so far, so as long as YEH & The House don't confirm it yet don't take it as a fact.

Summer isn't over yet! Here's the Philippine version of Korea's Melona Ice Cream Bar!
K-POP : Korean Inspired Ice Cream Bar by Magnolia!

I love the unique the “green” Honeydew Melon flavor of KPOP,
with its fruity taste and very creamy smooth texture.
It is not icy like your normal popsicle stick, ice-lollies, ice drops, popsicles, cream bars, or whatever you like to call them.
This will be perfect in the summer or just about anytime of the year!
Gotta go to bye one! see yah!!

Both KPOP and Melona are available at S&R, Robinson's Supermarket, Rustans and your local Korean groceries.

Old Boy
American studios finally end up their long search of tried-and-true material and high quality movies, and its in South Korea, a prime market for unique and fresh films. So far, the copyrights of 26 Korean films have been sold to Hollywood, including major box office hits "Old Boy" and "The Host."
And with that, there's been a buzz about Old Boy remakes for years, and for the most part it’s been held off and only Heaven know's why.
Well, are you looking forward to Old Boy remake? How does the Spike Lee (the would be director) remake match up to the Korean original? I bloody love the original movie and it's one of the most epic fight scenes I've ever seen.
I have found that a lot of people when they watch the original and remake all agree that the original was better. Many American remakes have flopped, leaving audiences and critics wondering if they might not have been better off simply reading subtitles.Could it be that Asian directors, actors, writers, etc are better at conveying emotions and story lines than American? Just a question.

Here's a snippet of Korean to Hollywood remakes- you'll be the judge if the remake rock or suck.
"Il Mare" (Korea 2000) - The Lakehouse (US 2006
"A Tale of Two Sisters" (Korea 2003) - The Uninvited (US, 2009)
My Sassy Girl (Korea , 2001) - My Sassy Girl (US, 2008)

Into The Mirror / Geoul Sokeuro (Korea, 2003) – Mirrors (US, 2008)
Addicted (Korean 2002) -  Possession (US, 2009)
Next in the Remake Queue - Coming Soon:
)
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005) , Three-Oh-One Three-Oh Two (1995),  A Bittersweet Life(2004) and Confession of Murder(2012

And finally this October 2013:
Old Boy (Korea, 2003) - Old Boy (US, 2013)
I am curious to see the remake of Old Boy and I'll give this remake a chance. I just hope the remake does it some justice and hopefully it isn't a complete disaster.

Do you know Jang Geun Suk?
One of  his teen photos that I love (Left) and as I expected he grew up a fine young man (Right) or so I thought.
I was a diehard fan of him since 2009, after seeing him at "You're Beautiful", I've searched all of his previous works, dramas, movies, variety shows, and I love all of it, especially his drama "Beethoven Virus". I even wrote this, below, on my Facebook years ago-

Jang Keun Suk (written on my FB)

“I never thought that I would like an actor younger than me. But I started following JKS after I’ve watched You’re Beautiful the first time. Why the disclaimer? Because I've watched the series more than 20 times in a span of 1 month. :) I was attracted to his character, Hwang Tae Kyung and I can picture it as him.
Recently, I've started discovering his personality and interests. I like him trying to reach out to fans by uploading a load of pictures via twitter. Even if he is using his friend’s account or using the organizer’s accounts, he still makes it a point to update his fans of what he is doing. What’s nice about it is that he is natural in those pictures, sometimes wearing a sando, signing autograph or eating something.
He has a nice voice. In fact, I love all of his songs in You’re Beautiful. Some of the songs are also addictive.
He has a great personality, in his recent visit to Taiwan, not only did he showcase his English speaking skills, he also showed his fans how fun he is. The hosts didn't have a hard time conversing with him. He’s game about anything.
JKS is on the go now. I’m sure in a few years time, he’ll be more successful."

-------

I like him on his previous image, masculine, more humane and much more attractive.

However, I stopped admiring him, and of course, stop supporting him because of his attitude. At first I'm in denial, I said to myself - "oh maybe he's just experimenting and showcasing his talent with such confidence".
But after his drama "Marry Me, Mary". It's a dead end. I can't stand it anymore. Why? I'm just so disappointed by his career move, fashion style wise (or his new image) and his behavior. What I don't like the most is his image, why wear those girl perky clothes? Why sport a curly long hair? I know his not a gay, but why wear those things? Is this his vision of the new generation?
Maybe you'll say I'm not a loyal fan and I'm like those fans who abandoned their idol once they don't like their idol's career move.
Well, if he's a gay, I will still support him; I have respect to all kinds of gender orientation, but not on fake gay or imitating gay image. That’s a big insult to every gay in this world.

Few of his famous photos flaunting his "handsomeness"
Cover Photo of his FB fanpage : The EELS Family

I don't base my admiration on looks but on talent, I know he has one, what I despise is he let this changes on himself. I am not fine with this fake-gay style, plus the arrogance.

From Hancinema article -

Next, pointing to Logan Lerman, he said, "I am glad to meet a good friend. I will step over being the prince of Asia and go to Hollywood".

He then showed confidence to the crowd and a smiling Logan Lerman, "You think I won't make it to Hollywood?"

I'm not OK with his behavior of "I-am-the-most-perfect-greatest-artist-on-this-planet".
Also, his not being honest with his fans. His image is nothing but business front. If he feels good in such clothes, such image, fine with me, but if a man wears it to hypnotize diehard fans and get "something" from that glittery image. I don't buy it. His persona is just like that. A business front.

See how he shows his "love" to his fan, by launching an iPhone application, where you can follow him and know the latest updates about his greatness and cuteness, with a price of course(!). Or have his Official Telephone Alarm Application and again, it's not free either.

I know I just declare war here to all of his fans around the globe, but this is my feelings and I'm just being true to myself. Goodbye JKS, I still hope success on your career.

An Ajumma fan of Rain
There is an impression that KPOP idol fans and followers are seem to be teenagers (middle school, high school) and maybe some college students, but lo and behold, there’s a type of fan that as old as your mom and even as old as your great grand mom!! OK that’s an exaggeration, maybe as old as your grand mom only.
Many Hallyu icons, mostly KPOP boy groups and actors have older fans or Ajumma fans. An ajumma is an adult female individual of married age from 30 to 60.

For more definite meaning of Ajumma please read my post “What is an Ajumma?”. Ajumma fans are older fans and they’re one of the most loyal fans in the world (Yes- world, because no one can surpass their undying admiration).

I made up these two kinds of Ajumma fan-

Normal Ajumma Fan

Some were decent, loyal, sweet and shy Ajumma fan, who support/love/follow their idol/bias/favorite. The majority of fans of certain (KPOP or Hollywood) celebrities only appreciate their talent, work, (good looks is an added bonus), and no harm done. That's the category I myself fall under (But I am not an ajumma yet, ok?)If I get to meet my idols, fine, and if not, that's fine too.

Here's a confession of one Ajumma fan   and  there’s also some Ajummas in the Philippines! (click to read the article)

Obsessed Ajumma Fan
While on the other side, there are also some Tyrannosaurus ajumma fans, who’s head over heels obsessed with their KPOP bias(read favorite icon) and they were the boldest, the loudest, the strongest, and the craziest fan ever.  They almost put their idols on pedestal and start idol worshiping  A healthy admiration turn into a sick obsession. They even have an Ajumma Army, complete with props, banners and uniforms. They are present in every Fan meetings, concerts and any KPOP events. I once had the opportunity to watch a KPOP concert, and it’s so bizarre for me to see old ladies at the concert with neon light stick, waving, shouting, chanting, and crying as if there’s no tomorrow. They even call their idol “Oppa” even if its three decades their junior! (Well few normal ajumma fan also called their idol “Oppa”).

Here are few fangasm of an Ajumma fan (click to read article)
You can also see them wailing when their idols bid goodbye off to military service.
Usual scenario on Military Service Enlistment Event
Even though  these ajummas are expressing their devotion and support, it's still creepy to see them like this who's almost beyond reason.

They are the type of fan that [maybe] you’ll consider too old to act that way, too old to like KPOP music or too old to like young celebrities.I believe there’s no age limit in admiration, we’re free to like any one, anytime, and no one shouldn't be ashamed of that feeling.Young or not. I just hope that they act their age, being too obsessive about any one thing or person is not healthy or productive and please know the boundary between reality and fiction.

Fan obsession at its worst(at any age)
There are celebrities that some people get hooked on, then become the subject of many fantasies that the fans slip into this fantasy world and don't want to leave.
Their "deep admiration" that they called love, goes as far as stalking, fans sometimes cross the line and enter the frightening realm of stalkerdom. They develops an "intense" relationship with a star, such as the belief that the fan and star have some special bond. Some are scary, they are willing to hurt themselves or other people or do something illegal in the name of a star. This is not limited to older fans, regardless of age, this kind of fan is the scariest of all.

These are entirely my thoughts, If anyone believes that something needs to be added or changed, feel free t o say so.

Have you ever been called Ajumma? What is Ajumma anyway? Well, let me define this Korean Word –  Ajumma.

Dictionary Definition
Ajumma (아줌마) is a shortened word of ajumeoni (아주머니) which is defined in English as: an aunt, an auntie, a middle age lady, a housewife, a wife, a madam or ma’am. A respectful way to call an older lady or a married woman. This is the Dictionary meaning of Ajumma.

Society Definition
However, it has different meaning In Korean society, Ajumma has a negative connotation and has a lot of cultural baggage. This term (Ajumma) upset young Korean women in one way or another. Why? simply because - Ajumma- is a respectful way of addressing older woman right?, so if you mistakenly called a lady - "Ajumma" it's like telling-right-on-her-face that she's an old lady.

I guess, there's more than just "calling someone an old lady". In Korean society Ajumma doesn't come out with a good image, they are middle-aged married woman or old enough to get married, that usually  short, stocky, tough women wearing colorful shirt, pants and sun visor with short curly permed hair.
Yes, uniform permed hair, as if It is a law that mandates all married woman to have a short permed hair
They are fierce and fearsome with a strength of an Incredible Hulk and eyes of an eagle. They have tendency to push people on the bus or subway train, just to get an empty seat and even though she elbows you and steps on you, you should still and always respect the ajumma.
Ajumma spirit by cartoonist Jo Namjoon
They are stereo typically defined as uncouth, unattractive, and uncultured.

In short, an ajumma is generally a married woman, or could be any woman who is significantly older than oneself. The “significantly” is important because a good way to infuriate a Korean woman is to call her ajumma. It is highly offensive to call a young woman or a not-so-young-woman - “Ajumma” especially if she’s not ready to give up her youth yet and still feels like a spring chicken Agassi! (Agassi means “Miss”)

So be careful on calling someone –“Ajumma”, if she’s a real ajumma then its fine but if not well be prepared for hell hath no fury for a woman who mistakenly called Ajumma.

Conclusion
These are stereotype definition of “Ajumma” and it is somehow unfair to define them as such, they were like that because of their daily household chores and other duty from their husband, to their children, and down to their in-laws, and they have small business to manage too. Mostly Ajummas have small business like selling fruits, vegetables and other food items from small shops or booths, to outdoors stalls like street food and soju tents.
Actually Ajumma is a modern day Wonder Woman
There’s almost no time for themselves, no time to keep up in current fashion. Their fashion style are out dated because it is much practical to have short perm hair and casual clothes. They are the back bone of the household and they are toughened through years of hardship. They are hard working people whom I admire and appreciate beyond words.
